Kubespawner without uid 0

I'm looking for an implementation that doesn't comprise security.  I'm indifferent to which authenticator currently using the ldap authenticator since it's the easiest/most familiar.

Everything works fine with manics z2jh kubespawner config, however it requires uid 0 to work, which is a problem for enforcing best security practices.

Does anyone know of a solution?

z2jh shouldn't require uid 0 anywhere that I'm aware of. Where do you see uid 0 being required?
