PhD and MSc Programs in Materials Science at Addis Ababa University with Scholarship Opportunities

I am thrilled to announce that one of the JUAMI partners, Addis Ababa University, College of Natural and Computational Sciences, has launched a PhD program in Material Science. This is a unique opportunity for students and researchers who want to contribute to the development of materials science and engineering in Ethiopia and beyond.

In addition, I would like to inform you that the MSc in Materials Science for 2023/24 admission has also started. This is a two-year program that aims to equip students with the fundamental knowledge and skills in materials science and engineering. Moreover, Addis Ababa University has prepared a scholarship for disabled and female Ethiopian students who studied in the regular program of government universities from 2016 to 20023. The scholarship covers tuition fees, living expenses, and research costs for the MSc program. The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit and financial need.

Furthermore, African students who apply for the MSc or PhD program can also apply for the Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Projects (ESIMSAD) with full scholarships. The scholarships cover monthly stipend, health insurance, travel flight ticket, and visa costs to travel abroad for a short research stay for a period of 6 months to 12 months (It can be extended based on the type of research activities) under the supervision of renowned experts in materials science and engineering.
