Hi Gernot,
we're currently in a phase of consolidating jQAssistant in the scope of a 2.0.x release and it's not yet finished (but quite close to). A quick overview:
- configuration has been externalized to YAML files, enviroment variables and system properties (this already started with 1.12.x)
- the configs are new mostly exchangeable between the Maven plugin and the CLI due to the way that plugins are specified in the jQA configuration files itself (no longer as dependencies to the jQA Maven plugin)
- plugins have been removed from the core distribtion, only a few are left there (Java, Maven, JSON, XML and YML). The others are currently consolidated under the GitHub organization
https://github.com/jqassistant-plugin/- the Asciidoc integration has been changed to allow more interoperability with other tools, e.g. DocToolChain, Confluence Publisher Maven plugin, etc.
- the embedded Neo4j database has been upgraded to Neo4j 4.x, raising the minimum requirement to Java 11
An official release announcement including a migration guide will follow.
Cheers
Dirk
