Nik, you may want to take a look at the tutorial I just posted http://jpos.org/blog/2017/05/jpos-tutorial-writing-a-jpos-gateway/If you get to understand how QueryHost and SendResponse works, you'd be able to use them in your application and achieve quite high throughput.
