Hi neighbors,

I just want to let you know that Harriet passed away peacefully at home today with family close by.
She loved her house and living on Josephine street these past years, thanks in part to you.
Thank you from her family.

Hi Karen,

I have just heard the news from Janet. I am sorry to hear it, though I am glad the end was peaceful.

Did you know that Harriet had a double (though rather distant!) connection to my mother - they just hit it off at a couple of the block parties where my mother came, and the two of them talked the whole evening. Also, one of her granddaughters had been on a Shalhevet trip to Poland and Israel when my mother was the accompanying survivor. My mother spoke with the kids about the concentration camps and about her experiences during the war.

Silvia

I am also sorry to hear of Harriet’s passing. It was wonderful for me to get to talk with her and to feel her vitality and determination, along with her humor and willingness to laugh.

Mary
