Hi,

It is not an issue as your entitled days for 2015 (set from 01/01/2015 to 12/31/2015) have expired.

Each organization has its own rules regarding "carry over leaves". For example:
  • In some companies, you can have a miximum of 5 remaining days (the other days are lost), or...
  • In other companies, everything remaining is lost.
  • For some, you can reporting everything, but you must take them before end of may of the next year.
  • Etc.
That's the reason why nothing is coded in Jorani except the fact that entitled days expire at the end of the period for which they are defined.

What my users generally do is that they create a new type called "carry over leaves", use the balance report by setting the date of execution to the 12/31/year-1 (last day of last year). And assign entitlement to each employee (not on the contract, but from HR/Employee page) with the type "carry over leaves" (or paid leave if you want to use this type) according to their HR policy.

Most of companies prefer to do it manually, because of various exceptions in their HR policy and the seniority/position of each staff member. But you can hire a developper to code something around the REST API (See https://github.com/bbalet/jorani/tree/master/tests/rest for some examples) in order to deal with it automatically.
