Why spend time on it?

Regards,

Guillaume

A Raspberry + x2go is IMHO better over WAN.
For local networks, for sure Sun Ray was great.

I do prefer transmission over udp. But the udp mode of xpra is still somehow not widely used https://www.xpra.org/trac/ticket/2676 ;-) rds, niki

Thanks for the link, on paper, xpra seems great.
I will test it :)
I'm interested to see how it compares in term of responsiveness with the protocol compression and cache on x2go (aka nomachineNx)

Guillaume

I think I will look again at xpra when it will be more mature.
Version 4 should be renamed 0.4 , display is randomly "broken" (bad colors or black lines),
and some sessions just don't resume... and the client UI is "funky" :)
When it works, the latency feels a lot bigger than x2go.

Guillaume

and that I have about 50 sunray 2, and I would like to make it work to make a digtal inclusion project available in a favela in Brazil.

My advice is to provision the sunrays with the GUI firmware and configure them from the UI.

Guillaume

Sadly all the documentation is provided with the Sun/Oracle software package.

hello friend could you send me a link, for me to study a way to reuse these sunray2, it can even be with old systems,
the important thing is to have access to the internet and let the kids have fun on the internet. I do not know this protocol that you speak VDI I need to study more
