Progressive Organizing Solutions is hiring in Wisconsin for a large-scale membership mobilization and issue advocacy campaign it is conducting on behalf of the Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters (WLCV).  Progressive Organizing Solutions will be hiring field organizers to recruit and train environmental activists in Northeast Wisconsin.

 

Progressive Organizing Solutions is seeking enthusiastic field organizers in Wisconsin to execute a volunteer organizing and issue advocacy campaign to engage WLCV and the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) members as volunteers and activists in environmental issue advocacy, earned media and grassroots lobbying activities.  Issue focuses will include building support for reducing carbon emissions, encouraging executive action to clean up coal fired power plants, raising awareness about the need to address global warming and other conservation issues.  Successful candidates must have at least one year of community, issue, labor, or political organizing, excellent communication and organizational skills, strong written and oral communication skills and must work well in a team.  The position requires extensive volunteer recruitment, training and management, reliable transportation and a willingness to work evening and Saturday hours.
