HIV
PREVENTION CLINIC COORDINATOR
CLASSIFICATION: FULL-TIME
The HIV
Prevention Clinic Coordinator is responsible for the direct oversight of HIV
prevention navigation services at NYC STD clinics, providing clinical
supervision to program staff and coordinating outreach, training, linkage to
care for both HIV care and PrEP/PEP, and referrals to a spectrum of non-medical
services offered at The Center.
Principal
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical and task supervision
to the HIV Prevention Counselor(s) to ensure Public Health Solutions (PHS)
contract deliverables are met.
- Act as the liaison with STD clinic
staff and program staff at The Center's main site to coordinate care and
services.
- Monitor data collection and reporting
and support referrals to other Center programs.
- Provide support related to clinical
work as needed, including crisis intervention.
- Plan and deliver a quarterly LGBTQ
competency training to the staff at the STD clinics.
- Oversee, coordinate, and implement all
outreach efforts to populations most at risk for HIV.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position
Requirements:
- Master's degree (LCSW/LMSW, LMHC)
required.
- Previous clinical experience in the
field of HIV prevention and/or treatment. Prior knowledge of PrEP/PEP
preferred
- Significant experience working with
LGBT populations, including knowledge of the spectrum of gender identity
and transgender issues.
- Solid leadership, administrative,
organization, and written/verbal communication skills; bilingual a plus.
- Commitment to inclusive,
multi-cultural programming; prior experience working with in coalitions
with diverse communities and an understanding of intersectional
oppressions.
- Knowledge and understanding of the
issues, needs and interests of the LGBT community, including knowledge of
the spectrum of gender identity and transgender issues.
- A strong commitment to social justice

HIV
PREVENTION COUNSELOR
CLASSIFICATION: FULL-TIME
The HIV
Prevention Counselor will be responsible for providing counseling to clients
located in need of services at a NYC STD. This individual will be responsible
for supervision of the HIV Prevention Navigator at the clinic, and will provide
crisis counseling, conduct mental health and substance use screening, including
brief interventions as needed. In addition, they will provide PrEP/PEP
education, and linkage to care including PrEP/PEP.
Principal

- Work with the HIV Prevention Coordinator
to meet all Public Health Solutions (PHS) contract deliverables.
- Provide behavioral health counseling
at assigned NYC STD clinic.
- Supervise and task manage HIV
Prevention Navigator assigned to STD clinic.
- Work collaboratively with STD clinic
staff and Center main site staff to coordinate care and services.
- Conduct screening for both mental
health and substance use issues (including SBIRT).
- Provide brief interventions and
linkage to care, including PrEP/PEP providers, benefits providers, and
other providers as needed.
- Enter contacts and documentation into
PHS and Center databases.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position
Requirements:
- LMSW/LMHC or similar, required; LCSW
and field certification to supervise students a plus.
- Previous clinical experience in
working within the field of HIV prevention and/or treatment. Prior
knowledge of PrEP/PEP preferred.

The HIV
Prevention Navigator is responsible for tasks related to managing STD clinic
client cases for those seeking services at the STD clinic and who may benefit
from HIV prevention services. This individual will provide brief intervention,
PrEP/PEP education, linkage to PrEP/PEP, benefits navigation, linkage to
services, and PrEP/PEP follow-up.
Principal
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with the HIV Prevention
Counselors and HIV Prevention Coordinator to meet all Public Health
Solutions (PHS) contract deliverables.
- Collaborate with the HIV Prevention
Counselors, STD clinic staff, and program staff at The Center's main site
to coordinate care and services.
- Provide brief interventions and
linkage to care, including PrEP/PEP providers, benefits providers, and
other providers as needed.
- Implement H-PLUS screening and
complete client assessments.
- Enter contacts and documentation into
PHS and Center databases.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position

- BSW or similar required; Associate's
degree with related work experience accepted; LMSW/LMHC a plus.
- Previous clinical experience working
in the field of HIV prevention and/or treatment. Prior knowledge of
PrEP/PEP preferred.
- Significant experience working with
LGBT populations, including knowledge of the spectrum of gender identity
and transgender issues.
- Good administrative, organization, and
written/verbal communication skills; bilingual a plus.
