Paid Canvass Director, Maryland Congressional District

A Progressive Maryland Democratic Congressional Campaign is hiring a PAID CANVASS DIRECTOR to manage a canvass program in Carroll County. Qualified candidates must have experience managing all aspects of a successful door-to-door program including hiring, training, tracking and data management. This is a temporary, full-time position.

Specific Duties Include:

• Recruit, hire and train a team of canvassers

• Oversee daily canvass operations and management of staff

• Maintain daily monitoring/tracking to maintain integrity of data/program

• Manage and evaluate performance of canvassers

• Manage data validation and entry process

• Schedule and maintain canvasser payroll and other HR tasks

• Daily reporting to senior team

Qualifications:

• Experience managing canvass programs a must

• Field training experience

• Working knowledge of online database and field reporting systems

• Proven track record of leadership under fire

• Strong organizational skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Willing to work long hours and weekends

• Must have your own computer and reliable transportation
