Regional Field Director - Bredesen for Senate

Summary:

A Regional Field Director for the Bredesen for Senate campaign will manage all field operations in their assigned region. These individuals will oversee and manage Field Organizers in their efforts to recruit, train and mobilize volunteers for direct voter contact. The Regional Field Director will implement the field plan as designated by the Field Director and assigned Deputy Field Director.

Job Responsibilities:

• Train, coach and mentor Field Organizers in best practices for volunteer recruitment, retention and mobilization

• Ensure that volunteers are taught current best practices for voter contact in a persuasion environment

• Create specific accountability measures to identify areas of improvement

• Motivate staff and volunteers

• Engage with local stakeholders and community organizations to build grassroots support

• Stay abreast of daily reports while incorporating findings into efforts to maintain regional programmatic health

• Oversee local Intern and Fellowship program, overseeing outreach to local schools while creating a culture that preserves retention rates while maximizing productivity

• Coordinate activity between various independent groups to create a culture conducive to ambitious voter contact goals

• Help organize special events as needed

Qualifications:

• At least two cycles of campaign experience

• Strong working knowledge of VAN

• Familiarity with Google Drive suite, especially Google Sheets

• Proven ability to coach and mentor staff

• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with staff, volunteers and local stakeholders from a variety of different backgrounds

• Ability to maintain a level-head in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
