Field Director - Competitive Michigan Congressional

Reports to: Campaign Manager
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Start date: Mid February
The Field Director will work with the Campaign Manager to execute all aspects of the Field plan on a top tier, competitive congressional campaign. Responsibilities include managing all field staff, conducting the petitioning process to get our candidate on the ballot, overseeing a large canvass operation, recruiting and managing volunteers, organizing and executing grassroots community events, creating and managing reporting structures, networking and coordinating with local community activists and organizations, and anything else related to direct voter contact.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2
cycles of
campaign experience with prior experience as as a Field Director, Deputy
Field Director or Regional Field Director. Ambitious, under qualified

- Experience recruiting, hiring and managing staff and volunteers
- Experience working with grassroots activists and organizations
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
- Meticulous organizing skills and the ability to balance many competing demands at once
- Willingness to work irregular hours with frequent weekends and evenings
- Willing to relocate to Detroit, MI
- Access to a car (strongly preferred)
