The 2018 Rhode Island Democratic Coordinated Campaign seeks Regional Field Directors (RFDs) and Field Organizers (FOs) to elect Democrats up and down the ballot, including re-electing Senator Sheldon Whitehouse and Governor Gina Raimondo, one of only two Democratic female governors in the country.
Regional Field Directors
Major Responsibilities
- Executing statewide field strategy in your region
- Managing Field Organizers and meeting regional volunteer recruitment and voter contact goals
- Maintaining high morale and motivation in your FOs while enforcing goals
- Overseeing timely and accurate reporting
- Training and coaching FOs in volunteer recruitment and voter contact best practices
- Implementing a robust volunteer recruitment effort in your region
Qualifications
- 1+ cycles of electoral field experience
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Spanish language ability a plus, but not required
- Experience training volunteers
- Ability to meet goals and reporting requirements on a daily basis under strict deadlines
- Strong working knowledge of VoteBuilder/VAN
RFDs will begin in early May.
Field Organizers
Qualifications
- Previous electoral experience a plus, but not required
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Spanish or Portuguese language a plus, but not required
- Ability to meet goals and reporting requirements on a daily basis under strict deadlines
- Affable personality, patience, and a positive attitude
- Willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends
- Enthusiasm for electing Democrats at every level
FOs will begin in mid or late May (flexible).
