Maryland Gubernatorial Campaign Seeks Field Organizers

A Maryland Democratic Gubernatorial campaign is seeking full-time Field Organizers for the 2018 primary election. Organizers will be charged with implementing the campaign’s aggressive field plan in their assigned regions and delivering the margin of victory on a top-tier gubernatorial race. Field Organizers will report directly to Regional Field Directors and be based in targeted areas across Maryland. This is an excellent opportunity to gain invaluable experience in one of the most important races in the nation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Identifying, recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers for activities such as door-to-door
canvassing, phone banking, voter registration and other means of turning out voters

Coordinating and participating in direct voter contact programs to motivate and mobilize voters in key
regions

Implementing the state field plan in assigned turf and meeting goals for voter contact and volunteer
recruitment within a turf

Detailed, regular reporting of regional activities and program results

Representing the campaign at community events and meetings

Qualifications:

Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to successfully relate to voters and volunteers from a wide
range of backgrounds

Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask

Ability to work independently and in team settings

Ability to work long and irregular hours as needed

Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle is preferred

Ideal candidates will have knowledge of campaign technology
