The Sierra Club is seeking a seasoned political professional to fill the role of Deputy National Political Director based at our Washington DC office. In this role, you’ll assist the National Political Director in leading the Sierra Club’s multi-cycle effort to build a powerful and effective political program that integrates our state, local and federal work building capacity and power across multiple cycles. You will collaborate with staff and volunteer leadership of the organization to design and implement a political program that fully leverages the strengths and assets of the Sierra Club – strong brand, boots on the ground, and a 50 state capacity. To be successful in this role, you should have extensive political campaign experience, including the ability to develop and implement sophisticated strategic field operations, capacity and temperament to manage multiple, complex, concurrent projects, strong fundraising experience and the ability to work well with multiple stakeholders to develop strategic campaigns.
