Field Director for Municipal Race in the Harrisburg Area (Pennsylvania)

Position: Field Director
Location: Harrisburg Area
Reports to: Campaign Manager

Salary: $2,000 - $3,000 per month

Position Summary

- Implementing the field plan through direct voter contact with targeted voters
- Build self-sustaining volunteer teams that can meet phone, canvass, and volunteer recruitment goals

- Recruiting, training, and managing volunteers on how to effectively ID, persuade, and turn out voters

- Conducting thorough data entry of all information gathered through field efforts

- Conduct outreach to political contacts in regards to the field program
- Serve as a campaign representative at local events
- Assess program progress and report back to the Campaign Manager on a regular basis

- Help organize and build for events when needed

- Building relationships with volunteers and ensuring a positive volunteer experience on the campaign

- Assist the Campaign Manager with tasks and organizing as needed

Required Skills

- Candidate must be well-organized, professional, and punctual
- Candidate must have to ability to delegate work to his or her team
- Candidate must have strong writing and strong communications skills
- Candidate must be willing to work long hours
- Candidate must function well in collaborative and team-oriented work environments.
- Candidate must be able to function well in high-stress situations
- Candidate must be proficient in Votebuilder

- Candidate should have at least one cycle of field experience
- Candidate should have experience managing a team of 1-5 people (volunteer or staff).
