Statewide Ballot Initiative Campaign Manager Job Description

 

 

Position: Campaign Manager

 

The statewide Ballot Initiative campaign manager works with the coalition steering committee to execute a comprehensive campaign plan on a day-to day basis.

 

The campaign manager will staff the campaign, provide budget oversight and work with the legal/compliance structure as necessary. S/he will manage the day to day of the campaign including but not limited to:

        Ensuring effective communications and coordination between all elements of the campaign; including, but not limited to, general consultant, media consultant, other campaign vendors, campaign staff, and the staff and leadership of coalition partners

        Ensuring all reporting is completed accurately and on time

        Identifying potential obstacles to success early on and troubleshooting

        Creating a transparent campaign environment with an emphasis on professional communications between all stakeholders

        Developing and executing a voter contact field plan

        Leading GOTV activities

        Supervising campaign staff

        Developing and engaging coalition partners

        Organizing volunteers

        Identifying and managing earned media and social media opportunities

        Aiding In campaign fundraising as requested

        Developing and running boot camps

        Other Duties as assigned

 

Desired experience:

        2 - 4 years of campaign management, statewide preferred. Ballot initiative or constitutional amendment experience also preferred.

        Demonstrated ability to successfully manage competing, time - sensitive priorities in a high- pressure environment

        Strong political instincts

 

Salary will be based on experience.

The Position will be based out of Atlanta, GA and can require long (80+ hours per week) and sometimes irregular hours as well as statewide, and sometimes national, travel.
