About Nevadans for a Clean Energy Future:

Nevadans for a Clean Energy Future is a ballot measure campaign that will amend the Nevada
constitution to increase the amount of our energy that comes from renewable sources like solar
and wind to 50 percent by the year 2030. Nevadans for a Clean Energy Future is made up of
community leaders, business owners and Nevadans who believe that by expanding our use of
renewable energy, we can lead the way in the West and create a community that is healthier
and more prosperous for future generations.

Description:

The Field Organizer will be based in Nevada. This temporary position will last until the end of the November 2018 election cycle.

Responsibilities:

As an Organizer, you will be responsible for building a volunteer network and grassroots support for the Nevadans for a Clean Energy Future ballot campaign. Organizers will use grassroots and digital tools to organize and mobilize communities. They will be expected to develop relationships and partnerships with local community groups and achieve field goals, including traditional grassroots voter contact, event planning and turnout on election day.

Organizers report directly to the Field Director and will be expected to work well independently to meet goals. To succeed, applicants will need to demonstrate motivation, the ability to manage multiple projects, strong communication and planning skills and a passion for issue advocacy campaigns.

Qualifications:

• Must possess strong written and oral communication skills

• Experience and ability to train and empower volunteers

• Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment

• One or more cycles community, issue, labor, or political organizing preferred

○ Experience working on a ballot measure campaign is a plus

• Fluency in VAN, Google Docs, Microsoft Office Suite; other field tools a plus

• Able to work campaign hours that vary from standard office hours and include nights & weekends

• Have your own reliable transportation

• Fluency in Spanish is a plus
