Campaign Manager- Mayoral Campaign (Syracuse, NY)

Common Councilor Michael Greene is seeking to retake the Syracuse Mayor’s office for the Democratic party. The candidate has twice won city-wide elected races and has successfully passed pragmatic progressive legislation during his time in office. Top issues for the campaign will include police reform, affordable housing, and improving transportation options in neighborhoods suffering from poverty.

The Campaign Manager will oversee the day-to-day operation of the campaign, including but not limited to: 

·         Supervising the staff and volunteers

·         Helping to craft campaign messaging

·         Directing fundraising activities

·         Directing mail, digital, and TV advertising plan

·         Implementing an effective Field and voter contact program

·         Building a coalition of supportive political stakeholders

Qualifications:

·         Minimum of at least 1-2 years of campaign, advocacy, or political experience

·         Self-starter with excellent organizational skills

·         Ability to work a standard campaign schedule, which includes evenings and weekends

·         Ability to recruit, inspire, and manage people

·         Experience organizing field operations

·         Familiarity with VAN

·         Familiarity with Syracuse is a plus

The campaign manager will be full time through November 2021.

Compensation for this position is commensurate with experience, with a base of $4,000 per month.
