Progressive Turnout Project seeks Field Representatives for the 2017 Georgia sixth
congressional district special election.
This is a great, entry-level position for recent
graduates or simply people with a passion for politics. Field Representatives will organize
specific communities of voters in an effort to create a Voter Turnout Movement that
elects Democrats. Field Representatives work with District Directors and receive
extensive training in campaign strategy, messaging, and voter contact techniques.
Field Representatives are the face of PTP’s effort to connect with targeted Democratic
voters and get them to the polls.
The ideal candidate is comfortable going door-to-door
having conversations with Democratic voters.
Field Representatives start as soon as
possible and work through the runoff election on June 20.
Qualifications:
• Passion for electing Democrats
• Ability to meet deadlines and goals
• Proficiency in Google Docs and Microsoft Office
• Access to a vehicle (frequent travel within congressional district)
Desired Skills
• While not a pre-requisite to the job, PTP seeks several Field Representatives with
prior campaign experience
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Report to District Director, organize voters in assigned community
• Canvass, make phone calls, enter data, and attend community events
• Maintain professionalism and sincerity, especially when interfacing with voters
Salary and Benefits
• $2500 per month salary
• $100 per month transportation reimbursement
