INTERN
The Pennsylvania House Democratic Campaign Committee (HDCC) is the political arm of the Pennsylvania House Democratic Caucus and is tasked with defending and expanding membership in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. To execute this mission, the HDCC directs strategic political planning for the caucus, its members, and candidates in Pennsylvania to ensure all state house democrats are successful on election day.
The HDCC is seeking qualified candidates to serve as Intern at the HDCC in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania for the Summer 2019 term. Interns will assist director-level staff in their programmatic goals to secure a Democratic majority during the 2020 Primary Election and 2020 General Election. Interns will generally be responsible for the following programs, in addition to ad hoc responsibilities:
Liaise with candidate and campaigns on a statewide basis
Manage internal data flows and processes
Research and expand donor intelligence
Monitor state legislative developments and votes
Execute special projects
Applicants should possess:
A commitment to democratic politics
Organization, time management, and inter-personal skills
Writing, and editing skills
Access to a laptop
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite

Position reports to Program Director. All internships are unpaid. To be eligible, students must be enrolled at an accredited college/university, or be receiving funding through public interest grant funds, or other similar source. This internship is offered in the Summer of 2019—applications are reviewed and hired on a rolling basis. Interns are expected to work 14-40 hours per week.
