Donor and Corporate Relations Officer/
Los Angeles
About Equality Federation and Equality Federation Institute:
At Equality Federation, we believe change is possible in every community. That’s why we empower local leaders to build a strong movement for equality that secures grassroots wins at every level across the country. Equality Federation is the movement builder and strategic partner to state-based organizations advocating for LGBTQ people. From Equality Florida to Freedom Oklahoma to Equality California, we amplify the power of the state-based LGBTQ movement. We have 43 member organizations in 38 states. We work collaboratively on critical issues—from advancing workplace fairness and family recognition to defeating anti-transgender bathroom bans and HIV criminalization laws—that affect how LGBTQ people experience the world from cradle to grave.
Equality Federation is a distributed organization with its 12 staff members located around the country.
The Opportunity:
This year, Equality Federation is celebrating its 20th anniversary. In the last five years, we have significantly increased our staff and budget. We are proud of the impact our growing team has in building the strength and capacity of our state-based movement. As we take on the increasing attacks on our community at the state level (from bathroom bills to anti-trans ballot measures) and strategize for victories like banning conversion therapy, we need to grow and diversify our funding sources.
That’s why we are looking to add a Los Angeles-based Donor and Corporate Relations Officer to our team.
