JOB: field director

[Campaign Staff]

Hiring a field director in a rural, 5-county, upstate New York State Senate district. Responsibilities include:

• Manage Voter Registration programs, including high school outreach and college student initiative
• Oversee the implementation of a field program which includes direct voter contact, organizational outreach and engagement, recruiting volunteers, and planning and implementing field organizing events.
  Identify, recruit, train, and supervise a team of field volunteers whose responsibilities shall include but not be limited to: telephoning for volunteer recruitment; telephoning for voter identification; door-to-door canvassing; textbanking; crowd-building for and participating in field events including campaign-driven events and events organized by outsiders such as parades or debates; delivery and construction of yard signs and other campaign materials.
• Provide weekly data reports, regularly collect and report data from phone banks and canvasses and monitor all voter contact activity in each of the five counties.
• Oversee implementation of voter outreach programs, such as letters to military and absentee voters, friend to friend postcards, and GOTV.
• Maintain contact with endorsing organizations to keep them engaged in field events and direct voter contact.
• Schedule volunteer and organizational voter outreach activities.
• Perform other campaign field tasks as the Campaign and/or the Candidate reasonably request.
