The Climate Action Campaign, a national coalition of environmental and public health groups, has a singular goal for 2017: to slow, stop or weaken the attacks on climate, clean air and clean energy. The coalition coordinates national political strategy, communications, and field operations across the country.
Overview
The Climate Action Campaign Fellowship is an intern program designed to immerse its participants in the environmental advocacy field. Assignments vary and are designed to both support the campaign with its mission to support action on climate change and assist the fellow with his/her professional growth. This position allows interaction with all of the campaign’s departments providing a wide breadth of experiences. As an integral part of the team, fellows will experience how public support is generated for action on climate, and how that shapes results on a national level.

Activities:
The Coalitions Fellow will train predominantly with the Public Engagement team completing tasks including but not limited to:
· Learning and becoming familiar with the QuickBase database in order to do:
o Data entry
o Data clean up
o Uploads
· Research on potential new partners to engage with in the climate space
· Assist in preparing the weekly highlights of Public Engagement activities and events
· Assist with events as needed.
· Join community calls to learn about upcoming actions and legislative threats to report back to the Public Engagement team.
· Assist the Government Affairs Director and Coalition Projects Director as needed with special projects
· Various work from the Digital and Communications Departments
Logistics
The fellowship program lasts for 14-weeks, and fellows participate for 20 hours/week. The Partnership Project requests that you structure your hours to attend departmental meetings. The Partnership Project provides a paid stipend
