North Carolina State Senator Seeks Paid Intern

Jeff Jackson for NC Senate is seeking a paid Finance Intern to support Jeff and his efforts. As the Finance Intern, you will complete administrative and operational tasks for the Finance Team to achieve monthly and annual goals.

 

Finance interns will:

·      Assist the finance team with operations including:

o   Donor prospecting and research

o   Data entry, management and acknowledgements     

·      Provide administrative support to the team

·      Assist in preparation of fundraising materials, briefings and background documents

·      Assist in coordination of political and finance meetings and events

 

Intern qualifications include:

·      Strong writing and communication skills

·      Strong research skills and attention to detail

·      Ability to organize and handle multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines

·      Enthusiasm and an interest in campaigns and politics

·      Experience with Google suite, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), NGP experience a plus

 

Outcomes:

·      Intern will get an inside look at fundraising and event planning

·      Intern will gain a deeper understanding of politics

·      Intern will gain experience using research methods

 

Hours/Pay:

·      Intern must be willing to work roughly 7-10 hours per week and will receive $15/hour

·      Intern should be based in Raleigh, but remote opportunities available
