Job Description: Call Time Manager
A Democratic Congressional campaign in Chicagoland is seeking a driven fundraiser who will serve as Call Time Manager. This is an entry-level position, and a great opportunity to break into campaign fundraising. The position will involve executing fundraising operations, managing and staffing call time, and building and maintaining relationships with donors and donor prospects.
The Finance Assistant will be responsible for helping execute the campaign’s finance plan and reporting regularly to the candidate and consulting team. Additionally, she or he may be asked to participate in many non-fundraising related tasks in the early stages of the campaign, including but not limited to scheduling, staffing the candidate, volunteer recruitment and managing media relationships. The Call Time Manager will receive guidance and coaching from Jumpstart Campaigns on building a robust and competitive congressional finance operation.
Qualifications:
· 1 cycle of experience in political campaigns and experience working on a Congressional campaign is preferred but not a requirement
· Eagerness to learn how to build and engage donor networks
· Demonstrated success in organizing, and executing successful events in field or fundraising is preferred
· Proficient computer skills, including using social media, Microsoft Word and Excel, experience using NGP and VAN is preferred
· A willingness to take direction and to learn how to become a successful fundraiser
