Mark Levine is a candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia. He is currently a Delegate and represents Alexandria, Arlington, and Fair. If elected, Mark would be the first openly LGBTQ+ LG in the United States, the first openly LGBTQ+ statewide elected official in Virginia, and the first Jewish statewide elected official in Virginia.
Location: Northern Virginia preferred but open to other locations within Virginia
Job Description:
The Field Director will work closely with the campaign manager to oversee the signature gathering process and then create and execute a field operation including phone banking, texting, relational organizing, and potentially some in-person events pending COVID-19.
Responsibilities include:
Create and implement a field plan that respects COVID-19 safety protocols
Recruit and retain volunteers
Work closely with community leaders and other elected officials
Manage data using VoteBuilder
Create and follow a field budget (no budget experience necessary- current staff are able to assist)
Oversee the signature collection process
Qualifications:
Highly organized
Strong knowledge of Votebuilder
One to two cycles of field experience
Willingness to travel throughout Virginia (mileage will be reimbursed)
Strong personal, verbal, and communications skills
Experience managing staff is a plus but not required
Virginia experience is a plus but not required
Compensation: Salary between $4,000-5,000/month depending on experience
