A competitive congressional campaign in Florida is hiring a Deputy Finance Director/Event Coordinator to start immediately. This individual will work closely with the Finance Director and Campaign Manager to plan and implement successful fundraising events.

 

Responsibilities
-Work with Finance Director to identify potential hosts

-Work with hosts and co-hosts to Rolodex their network

-Work with the Finance Director to accurately project fundraising numbers of each event

-Staff the candidate at meetings with potential donors and at fundraisers

-Manage follow up communication with pledged donors and event attendees

-Help track and manage the team's progress in fundraising

-Manage relationships with donors

-Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

 

-Excellent organizational and time management skills

-Ability to coach and manage the candidate during call time

-Excellent communication and persuasive skills

-Strong work ethic and willingness to work long and irregular hours, including evenings and weekends

-Ability to think creatively and strategically about fundraising

-Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, NGP, and ActBlue

-Superb verbal and written communication skills

-Experience in a fast-paced campaign atmosphere

-Ability to manage several tasks and projects at the same time

-A sense of humor and willingness to work in a team-oriented environment

-A basic understanding of federal campaign finance rules and regulations

-At least one cycle of campaign finance experience
