Hello! We are seeking an organizer and a Paid Canvass Director to work to elect Democrats out in Iowa's First Congressional District!

Abby Finkenauer is running for Congress in Iowa's First Congressional District. This is an exciting race in a Red-To-Blue district. We're looking for an organizer with energy and passion to build a community of volunteers and supporters, empower voters to act on their ideals, and represent our campaign all across Iowa's First Congressional District.

Organizer:

·        Recruiting, training, and managing volunteers to expand the volunteer networks;

·       Managing and executing earned media tactics such as phone banks, voter registration drives, visibility events, Congressional district office visits, and press conferences;

·        Implementing a digital organizing program in their districts, including collecting video footage of local supporters, linking local groups with the campaign through social media, bringing in volunteers from digital leads, and building a network of volunteers along with a strong digital presence for the campaign;

·       Identifying office space for district field offices, and assisting in overseeing the general day-to-day administration of the field offices;

·       Recruiting, training and managing fellows to assist with organizing and community building

·       Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

·       No organizing experience required, but one cycle preferred;

·       Organizational skills and ability to meet goals and strict deadlines;

·       High attention to detail;

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

·       Frequent travel within Congressional district is required;

·       Commitment to electing Democrats.

Paid Canvass Director

 

We are seeking a motivated and highly organized person to help recruit for and run our paid voter registration and direct voter contact program in Iowa’s First Congressional District. Paid Canvass Director will be responsible for hiring and training paid canvassers, accurate and on time reporting, and managing day to day operations of our district-wide program. They will be held accountable to hiring and output metrics.

  

Qualifications and Requirements:

·      Personable and energetic team player

·      Prior experience managing staff not required but strongly preferred

·      Self-motivated and able to work independently

·      Goal-oriented

·      High attention to detail

·      A valid driver’s license and access to car
