Brynne Kennedy is the Democratic nominee challenging Tom McClintock in California’s 4th congressional district. A tech entrepreneur and author, Brynne built a company from her kitchen table and grew it into a global business with hundreds of employees. She is running to bring affordable healthcare, real solutions to the wildfire and insurance crisis, and local representation to our district.

 

Brynne for Congress seeks an experienced field director to build a groundbreaking field program and oversee direct voter contact from now through the general election. Ideal candidates will have at least two cycles of field experience, including at least one cycle of staff management experience, and be hungry to assemble a large, diverse, and talented field team.

 

Responsibilities:

     Oversee all aspects of direct voter contact: canvassing, phone banking, text banking for persuasion and turnout efforts.

     Recruit, train, and oversee a large field team covering all ten of the district’s counties

     Develop a field plan for the general election, covering staffing timelines, voter contact goals, trainings, volunteer team building goals, and ballot chase

     Develop training materials for staff, volunteer leaders, canvassers, and phonebankers

     Build relationships with local activists, county parties, outside groups, and others to assemble a coalition to aid in field outreach

     Be a custodian and contributor to the campaign culture, especially in locations outside of the campaign HQ

     This position requires extensive nights and weekends

 

Skills:

     A hunger to expand the house democratic majority and elect Brynne Kennedy

     Experience managing staff on a campaign

     Extremely organized and detail oriented, even in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines

     Comfortable managing staff at a distance in a geographically large district

     Highly creative and comfortable adjusting tactics to hit aggressive goals

     Up to date on research and best practices related to campaign persuasion and turnout efforts

     Familiarity with campaign CRMs necessary, and experience with PDI specifically is a plus

     In-district or in-California political experience a plus

 

 

 

Reports to: Campaign Manager

 

Salary is dependent on the skills and experience of the candidate, but will be between $4500-$5500/month, with a stipend for healthcare, and reimbursement for gas/travel.
