About the DCCC: The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns – both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members – with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, digital strategy, research support and management consulting. In addition, the DCCC’s Independent Expenditure supports these campaigns with television, radio, digital, and other voter contact efforts. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. Position Summary: The DCCC is hiring a Field Operations Director for the 2020 campaign cycle. The Field Operations Director is responsible for developing a budget tracking system for our field investments and implementing special projects for the National Field Team. and the Field Operations Director will develop and manage tracking systems to ensure priorities, products, and tools are executed across all national regions and congressional districts. They will work with the Deputy Field Director, the Regional Field Directors and our partners to coordinate program logistics, vendors, and in-house field products for the committee’s ongoing commitment to retaining the majority. The Field Operations Director will coordinate interdepartmentally with Human Resources and the Operations Departments to ensure smooth operational standards in-district, help facilitate the opening of regional DCCC headquarters, and process the transferring of resources. Travel and deployments to districts to support campaigns should be expected. The ideal applicant is highly organized with a proven ability to multitask, pay attention to detail, advanced proficiency with Excel and spreadsheets, have a great sense of humor and passion for campaigns as well as a commitment to winning House seats.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Have at least two years of experience working on political campaigns, with national allied organizations, or other relevant experience;
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and spreadsheets
• Previous field experience preferable;
• Highly organized, with organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines required;
• Team-oriented personality with can-do attitude; must be energetic, creative, motivated, and able to function productively and effectively in a multitasking and fast-paced environment;
• Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills required, with an attention to detail;
• Willingness to assist on other projects as needed;
• Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule;
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and programs such as QuickBase;
• A high level of self-motivation and proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, and follow through on all projects;
• Other duties as needed
