Do you have a deep commitment to ending gun violence through civic engagement? Then the Students Demand Action Activist Institute may be the perfect program for you!

Students Demand Action is working with gun violence prevention leaders like you to bring the power of advocacy, research, and grassroots organizing to communities across the country. This summer we will conduct an 8-week educational experience exploring the intricacies of gun safety policies and legislation, while also advancing your skills in advocacy, lobbying, voter registration, and voter engagement. The Student Demand Action Activist Institute will run from June 15th - August 9th with the concluding 3 days of it consisting of participating in the virtual Gun Sense University conference. 

The goals of the Student Demand Action Activist Institute are as followed:

1. Register 15,000 new student voters between the ages of 18 - 24

2. Generate 10,000 pledges to vote from students between the ages of 18 - 24

3. Recruit 400 relational organizing leaders committed to fall registration drive

4. Recruit 100 new chapter leaders to start chapters in summer and fall

5. Double the Students Demand Action Instagram following
