A fast-paced congressional campaign in the Chicago suburbs seeks an eager, talented junior staffer to play a key role in the campaign by providing assistance with fundraising and field operations.

Responsibilities Include:

• Following up with pledges and donors
  
• Managing fundraising call time with candidate
• Organizing and executing fundraisers by working with hosts
• Assisting in the campaign’s field operation
• Creating and maintaining campaign databases
• Recruiting, training, and managing volunteers
• Attending various events on behalf of the campaign
• Scheduling
• Staffing candidate at events
• Helping managed website and social media for campaign
• Responding to other campaign related tasks

Qualifications Include:

• Previous campaign experience preferred, but not required
• Experience in recruiting and training volunteers
• Familiarity with VAN, NGP and Google docs
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends
• Access to car as transportation
• Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
• Applicant must be highly organized
• Applicant must be a true self-starter and ability to work independently
