The Ohio Senate Democratic Caucus is seeking resumes for qualified candidates interested in working as a Field Organizer for targeted Senate districts for the 2016 election cycle. Organizers will be the key to the field operation to ensure victory in November for the Senate Democratic Caucus. The organizers will report to the Senate Field Director. The position runs until mid-November.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Recruiting, training and managing volunteers
· Implementing all aspects of the designed field plan for the district
· Performing direct voter contact
· Establishing and maintaining relationships with Democratic groups and allied organizations in the area
· Working with the candidate to meet voter contact goals
· Reporting regularly to the Senate Field Director
· Any other campaign related tasks that may arise
Requirements:
· Candidate must be well organized and have great time management skills
· Preferably (but not required) one campaign cycle of field experience
· Experience working or volunteering on a GOTV operation
· Experience working with VAN/Votebuilder is preferred
· Must have experience working with Excel
· Must be able to train and direct volunteers
· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
· Must be willing to work long hours, including nights and weekends
· Candidate must be willing to relocate as necessary
