Digital Director – Bring Back Solar

 

The Bring Back Solar Alliance is seeking a full time Digital Director for its ballot referendum campaign based in Las Vegas, NV. This individual will help the campaign maximize its capacity for volunteer recruitment, list-building, external messaging and fundraising on all digital platforms to bring rooftop solar back to Nevada.

 

Responsibilities:

- Manage all email drafting, segmentation, sending and list management for the campaign.

- Write and develop a wide variety of content for the campaign, including advocacy emails, petitions, fundraising solicitations, and website copy.

- Contribute to campaign’s social media presence by drafting content, identifying supporters, editing photos and monitoring comments and mentions

- Manage campaign website and regularly maintain web content.

- Produce digital reports and conduct in-depth analysis of specific digital tactics.

- Be a reliable member of campaign leadership and evaluating and assisting other campaign departments as necessary.

 

The ideal candidate will have the following:

- 1-2 cycles of experience in a digital organizing or communications role with a political campaign, non-profit organization or consulting firm

- CMS/CRM experience - Blue State Digital strongly preferred

- Knowledge of HTML & CSS basics

- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills 

- Strong writing skills, ability to write knowledgeably about energy issues or politics a plus

- Graphic design and/or video editing skills are not required, but would be a significant bonus
