Competitive Mid Atlantic Mayoral Race Seeks Experienced Campaign Manager

A competitive Mid Atlantic Mayoral campaign is seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Campaign Manager. The campaign manager will oversee all aspects of the campaign including day-to-day operations, management of staff, the coordination and implementation of communications, field, and fundraising operations and ongoing coordination with the candidate.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring cooperation and coordination between all sections of the campaign.

• Working with the finance team, candidate, consultants and allied organizations to develop strategic plans to ensure the most effective deployment of resources.

• Overseeing candidate scheduling and staffing the candidate at events.

• Managing political relationships with other local campaigns and business leaders.

• Overseeing the execution of campaign communications and outreach efforts.

• Helping build a local grassroots movement and organize call time for the candidate.

• Representing the campaign at events, meetings, and in the media.

Qualifications:

• At least one to two cycles of experience in as a Manager or Deputy Manager on a campaign.

• Congressional or major metropolitan Mayoral campaign experience a plus.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), including strong presentation and negotiation skills.

• Demonstrated experience managing staff, volunteers, and working with consultants.  

• Ability to both manage people and develop effective plans; ability to delegate and manage many people responsible for a variety of roles.

• Extensive experience using NGP VAN (Votebuilder) and other campaign relevant technology.

• Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized.

• A level head, positive attitude, a sense of humor, and willingness to work extended irregular hours throughout the duration of the campaign.
