Position: Field Director

Full Time

Location:  Montgomery County, MD

Start Date: February, 2018

 

Friends of Andrew Friedson is looking for an energetic, competitive Field Director to join our growing campaign team. This person will lead and manage our voter targeting and contact plan, helping ensure we are victorious on June 26th, 2018 (MD Primary Election Day). This is an excellent opportunity for a field director or an exceptional former organizer looking to take on more field responsibility in a competitive race with a sophisticated electorate.  You can learn more about Andrew at www.andrewfriedson.com

 

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Drafting and implementing a comprehensive, data-­‐driven field plan.
  • Recruiting, managing and training volunteers to participate in direct voter contact activities, including canvassing, phone banking, and voter registration.
  • Meeting and exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly outreach goals.
  • Preparing canvas walk maps and scripts for all volunteers.
  • Adhering to a strict daily reporting schedule.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to successfully relate to voters and volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings.
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours in a fast paced, metrics driven work environment.
  • Must have reliable access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
  • One-three years of campaign experience or community organizing is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Votebuilder/VAN strongly preferred
  • Ties or experience in Montgomery County, MD is a plus but not a requirement
