Red to Blue Program Coordinator (2)
The MN DFL State Party and the DFL House Caucus recognize that running a race in a politically challenging district can be difficult and campaigns benefit greatly from added support. The MN DFL Red to Blue program assists legislative campaigns with a holistic approach by advising on all aspects of their campaign. The Minnesota DFL is hiring two (2) Red to Blue Program Coordinators for the 2018 election cycle. These staff will be extremely important to the DFL Party as we move into midterm elections. This position reports to the Red to Blue Program Director.
Responsibilities:
- ·
Meet with assigned candidates and campaign teams
on a regular basis to set and maintain goals.
- ·
Provide guidance, support, and tools to help
campaigns reach their goals.
- ·
Assist with voter file (VAN) usage and training.
- ·
Monitor campaign direct voter contact progress.
- ·
Collaborate with Party, Caucus, and Coordinated
staff to provide support in line with other programming.
- ·
Provide regular reports to the Program Director.
Requirements:
- ·
Experience working on a caucus, coordinated, or
local level campaign.
- ·
Understanding of campaign finance laws and state
level races.
- ·
Experience working in rural or exurban legislative
district campaigns.
- ·
A collaborative and problem-solving approach.
- ·
Experience establishing and achieving direct
voter contact goals.
- ·
Experience using a voter file (VAN preferred).
- ·
Understanding of MN campaign finance
regulations.
