State Senate Race Seeks a Finance Director

A State Senate campaign in NJ is seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead an aggressive finance operation. The Finance Director is responsible for developing an aggressive finance plan and, ultimately, raising the money and cultivating the relationships necessary to win a highly competitive general election. The Finance Director will work closely with one finance staff, treasurer and the candidate. The Finance Director oversees keeping the candidate and campaign on track with fundraising goals, training and managing finance staff, overseeing fundraising events, and cultivating donor relationships. 

Responsibilities

• Execute an aggressive seven-figure finance plan
• Set fundraising goals (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly)
• Work with call time manager, optimize call strategy, identify and prospect donors, and conduct follow up
• Develop a plan to maximize and expand our donor base
• Develop and implement a fundraising events plan and calendar
• Oversee digital and direct-mail fundraising streams
• Conduct profitable event-strategy leaning, focused on engaging high net worth donors
• Hire and manage finance staff as needed by the campaign to execute finance plan
• Help with other aspects of the campaign as necessary

• Ability to lead, motivate, and share fundraising experience and expertise
• Experience fundraising on a political campaign
• Open to new ideas, strategies, and fundraising technologies
