The Maine Democratic Party
is seeking an experienced coordinated campaign field director for the 2016 election. The coordinated campaign field
director will manage the state-wide field operation
in Maine.
This year we have an exciting opportunity to elect
a Democratic president, send U.S.
Rep. Chellie Pingree back to Congress, send "Red to Blue" candidate Emily Cain to Congress, and
elect Democratic majorities in both
chambers of the Maine State Legislature. Our
field program will be a key to success
in all of these races.
The field director will oversee multiple
regional field directors and dozens
of field organizers to lead us to victory in November.
Required Skills, Abilities, and Experience:
- 2-3 cycles of experience at a
congressional or statewide level as a field director,
deputy field or regional field director
- Experience recruiting, hiring, training, and
managing field staff
- Experience writing both field and GOTV plans
- Experience targeting and creating persuasion
and GOTV universes based on modeling
- Strong working knowledge of and experience
with VAN
- Strong communications and organizational
skills, ability to work independently,
manage multiple tasks, and work long and irregular hours
- Deadline and results-driven leader

Duties and Responsibilities:- Recruit, hire, train and manage field staff
- Write and execute a data-driven field plan
- Motivate staff to meet goals
- Work with compliance departments to ensure we
are maximizing resources
- Plan and execute ID, persuasion, mail ballot
chase and GOTV programs
