DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

One Pennsylvania is seeking a program field director to perform a wide range of duties focused on empowering people most affected by our economic system.

One Pennsylvania is looking for applicants who:

• Have a strong appetite for grassroots organizing
• Have an ability to work well with diverse groups and populations
• Excellent organizational skills
• Are responsible and ability to work independently  
• Are driven with a strong work ethic
• Act with high integrity and character
• Experience using voter databases like VAN is a plus
• Access to a dependable vehicle required

 

This role may include:

• Recruiting and Developing Leaders: Build a team of canvassers by conducting outreach, interviewing prospective staff, making hiring and firing decisions, and developing the next generation of managers and leaders to support your team
• Managing Staff: Train staff in campaign skills. Work with your staff in individual and group settings, with a particular eye towards developing leaders. Cultivate a welcoming, inclusive, and motivating atmosphere
• Canvassing: Canvass director is expected to canvass in the field in order to train staff and/or meet daily door knock goals.
• Administration: Carefully track progress to goal and qualitative metrics, manage canvasser hours and timesheet reporting, and maintain HR and accounting records.

 

 

COMPENSATION

This is a full time temporary position and compensation is commensurate with experience.  

 

LOCATION

This program will be based out of our One Pennsylvania office in Pittsburgh, PA or Washington, PA.
