We are hiring a Senior Development Associate to work closely with the Senior Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships, the Development Assistant, the Grant Manager and top health policy experts to build a comprehensive, high-performing development program. Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Senior Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships, Communications, Field, and Digital staff to manage a new annual giving program that will raise donations from individuals in small amounts through direct mail and digital outreach.
- Plan, implement and integrate cultivation and stewardship strategies to grow and sustain the annual giving program.
- In collaboration with Communications staff, optimize the website for donations and develop and execute creative new online and social media fundraising campaigns.
- Conduct research on individual donor prospects and/or manage research by interns and other staff.
- Manage the database of individual prospects and track them throughout the donor lifecycle.
- Prepare donor contact reports, correspondence and additional written materials.
- Draft and copy edit correspondence with donors and prospects, including outreach and thank you letters and grant reports in collaboration with program and finance department staff.
- Prepare components of grant proposals such as budgets and background documents and drafting concept papers and other proposal documents.
- Manage the logistics of donor cultivation events such as small group dinners and presentations across the country.
- Oversee the proper acknowledgment of all charitable donations and ensures efficient and effective stewardship of all donors.
- Some management of the Development Assistant and intern.

- Strong self-motivation and an attention to detail
- 3-5 years of relevant professional experience
- A bachelor’s degree; graduate degree preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and Salesforce.
