Location: CA - 17th Congressional District

Job Description:

The Mike Honda for Congress Campaign is looking for top-notch Field Organizers to work on a highly competitive congressional campaign. Field Organizers will play an active role in executing the Field Plan.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Meet Volunteer Recruitment goals by recruiting, mobilizing and training volunteers to participate in phone banks, canvasses and events.

• Persuading and turning out voters in your region.

• Maintaining the campaign databases.

• Planning and managing field events.

• Reaching voter and supporter identification goals.

• Outreach to constituency groups, democratic clubs and organizations.

Job Requirements:

• A positive attitude and willingness to work long hours.

• Great time management and organization skills.

• Ability to train and instruct volunteers.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Enthusiasm for Democratic Politics.  

• Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Experience with recruiting volunteers.

• Strong organizational, management, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to handle multiple priority projects and meet established timelines.

• Enjoys working with varied members of the general public.

• Experience with Excel and previous campaign databases.

• Campaign experience preferred, but not required.
