Job Summary:

Julián for the Future (the Campaign) is seeking dynamic, mission-driven and qualified individuals to serve as an Iowa Deputy Organizing Director. The Deputy Organizing Director will be responsible for building our volunteer base and maintain the energy and engagement of our supporters. This position is based in Iowa and is eligible for comprehensive health, vision, dental, and life insurance. Relocation assistance is available on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Leading, training, and managing a team of regional organizing directors to meet voter contact goals
  • Traveling statewide to facilitate relationship building and organizational growth in communities across Iowa
  • Monitoring and managing political relationships with community leaders and local Democratic activists within your region
  • Working with state leadership to implement and execute top down directives
  • Implementing strategies and systems that lead all regions to successfully meet daily and weekly organizing metrics, as well as maintain data integrity
  • Ensuring volunteer communications and meetings are well-facilitated and impactful
The Deputy Organizing Director should have two cycles of organizing experience, and at least one cycle of staff management experience is preferred. Demonstrating an understanding of the political climate and issues important to Iowa is critical. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, good attention to detail, an entrepreneurial spirit, instinct for creative problem-solving and a good humored and collegial approach to working with other staff, volunteers and other stakeholders.

Job Summary:


Julián for the Future (the Campaign) is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven and qualified individual to serve as National Data Director. The National Data Director will be responsible for supporting our state strategies and maintaining open communication with the state teams, the National Organizing Director, and the State Programs Director. This primary focus of this job will be using data to inform, measure, and optimize campaign strategy. This position is based in San Antonio and is eligible for comprehensive health, vision, dental, and life insurance. Relocation assistance is available on a case-by-case basis.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with state and national teams to implement strategy for communications, constituency outreach, and field organizing
  • Build visualizations and reporting for key metrics and ad hoc requests
  • Define and extract lists of voters
  • Build and maintain SQL ETL pipelines
  • Support voter contact and organizing projects
  • Occasional travel to our state locations
  • Other duties as assigned

The National Data Director must be a self-starter with at least two cycles of experience managing data. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working in SQL, as well as building reporting solutions with modern BI platforms. Field organizing experience is strongly preferred, as is proficiency with Python or a similar language. The National Data Director should possess the ability to communicate with non-technical staff, good attention to detail, an entrepreneurial spirit, instinct for creative problem-solving and a good humored and collegial approach to working with other staff, volunteers and other stakeholders.
