Responsibilities​

We are seeking a Field Organizer for a targeted congressional campaign outside of Chicago.

The Field Organizer will help the campaign meet its voter contact goals that include, but are not

limited to:

● Implementing the campaign’s field plan

● Developing relationships with key political players and opinion leaders, allied

organizations, and coalitions to build the campaign’s base of support

● Recruiting, training, and managing volunteers and activists, to participate in grassroots

activities such as door-to-door, phone banking and early voting to persuade and turn out

voters

Qualifications

● Political campaign experience whether as a volunteer or staff

● Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meeting frequent deadlines

● Strong communication and organizational skills, showing attention to detail

● Excellent interpersonal skills

● Goal-orientation and willingness to hold self accountable

● Willingness to travel both up and down the district to attend trainings and events

● Excellent personal, verbal, and written communication skills

● A team orientation that combines collegiality and creativity to

drive and motivate others

● Strong commitment to progressive values
