Progressive candidate for the U.S. Senate from Colorado seeks an experienced statewide
Field Director to
develop and manage the field operations in the lead-up to the U.S.
Senate Race in 2020. The Field Director should preferably have statewide
field direction experience within the last two election cycles or, at a
minimum, multiple big-city mayoral or nationally targeted U.S. House
races at the director level. The campaign would also consider candidates
who have previous campaign field direction experience but who have
spent recent cycles running national field or political programs for a
national Democratic Party or progressive organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive statewide field plan to inform voters about Andrew and earn their vote
- Work with senior campaign staff to determine field strategy and goals for specific areas and timeframes
- Coordinate voter registration efforts
- Manage overall field operations, track performance, and prepare regular reports
- Provide training and oversee field organizers
- Recruit, train, and manage phone bankers, canvassers, and volunteers
- Ensure
proper utilization of data, including the cutting of walk lists,
logging results, writing survey questions, using advanced targeting
methods, etc.
Qualifications
- Experience and confidence in designing a statewide field program that can prevail in a multi-candidate Democratic primary
- Experience in working with progressive grassroots networks spanning interest and party groups
- Experience directing a staff of field and grassroots organizers
- Experience working directly with candidates on field and political matters
- Experience in organizing a large volunteer network in concert with overall field and political needs
- Knowledge of Google sheets; knowledge of NGP/VAN, and Nationbuilder required
