to GAIN POWER: JobsthatareLEFT

We’re raising millions of dollars online for compelling candidates and progressive causes. And we invented many of the fundraising tactics still being used today. Now, we’re growing quickly to scale our efforts for November 3 and beyond.

We’re a different kind of fundraising firm: We motivate with honesty and authenticity. We’re digital storytellers. And not only do candidates, donors, and voters prefer our style, but we’ve also seen time and again that this kind of content drives the strongest fundraising results.

Our work has garnered us notice. We’re working with some of the most exciting candidates and organizations in the country, people who are already changing the world, like Andrew Yang’s new nonprofit Humanity Forward, Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon, ASPIRE PAC, Progressive Majority, and Ditch Mitch.

There’s just one problem: While our digital fundraising approach is one of the best in the business, we much prefer raising BIG money online for our clients to selling ourselves. Faced with the choice between developing new innovative strategies to raise money online, and the coffee and happy hour circuit (let alone Zoom happy hours...) our CEO chooses raising more money every time.

That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for someone with a strong network who’d be thrilled to spend each day going out into the world (virtually for now) to find us awesome clients to raise millions of dollars for.

Are you a well-connected person who loves connecting with old friends?

Do you love meeting NEW people and making new friends?

Do you have 25 separate running text conversations at a time?

Did 100 people show up to your Zoom birthday party?

Is your idea of a great day catching up with old acquaintances you haven’t talked to in a while?

Do the words “networking all day” fill you with joy, not dread?

Do you have an existing network of connections in Democratic politics? Or in progressive organizations? Or in nonprofits? Or in all of the above?

Would you wake up every morning thrilled to share our mission of changing the world by raising money for candidates and organizations doing good with anyone who will listen? Are you a people person, delightful, well-loved by all, and relentless at your work, all at the same time?

Your job: Go out into the world (virtually!) every day and get people excited about the work we’re doing. Find us candidates, causes, organizations, and people that could make a bigger impact on the world with stronger fundraising and bring them into our orbit. We’ll close the deal.

About Basecamp Strategy:

At Basecamp Strategy, our vision for a better world drives everything we do: we believe that people with good ideas CAN change the world when empowered with the right tools and expertise.

We win tough races and help organizations change the world by raising our clients as much money as possible, online and off. The best strategies for engaging donors have yet to be invented -- and we’re here to do just that. And we can only do exceptional work if we have the best team in the business. We’re a team of specialists that challenges assumptions and figures out what performs the best today, not what worked in 2012, 2014, 2016, or November 2018.

We know that when more voices are at the table, bigger, better, and bolder things happen. In both hiring employees and recruiting clients, we approach every decision with a commitment to diversity. Basecamp Strategy recruits, employs, trains, compensates and promotes regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, disability, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, and other protected status as required by applicable law.

Our team is growing and evolving quickly. No one is doing the same job they were doing six months ago or even three months or a month ago. You’ll be asked to learn quickly, and the moment you’ve nailed it, we hope you’ll be ready to learn something new.

If you love a fast-paced environment, doing tremendously good work efficiently, thinking outside the box, and figuring out how to go from great to incredibly great, then you’ll love it here.

If you think you’d love to do this work, please send an email with a one-page resume, 100 words or less on why you’d be thrilled to wake up every morning and do this job, and 100 words or less on how you’d go about connecting with people in your network to jo...@basecampstrategy.com. Please indicate that you saw this posting on Jobs That Are Left.
