Democratic Congressional Campaign Seeking Finance Assistant - Houston, TX

Democratic Congressional Campaign in Houston is seeking a Finance Assistant. The candidate must be located in or willing to re-locate to Houston through the primary election, which is March 1st.

Responsibilities:

- Working alongside the Finance Director to implement robust finance plan

- Staffing the candidate during call time and managing the call time process

- Performing donor research, donor solicitation & donor follow up

- Tracking and executing pledge follow up

- Coordinating with other staff to ensure successful fundraising events

- Assisting Finance Director and/other departments with any necessary tasks

Required Qualifications:

- Strong written, communication, research, & interpersonal skills

- Attention to detail

- Must be willing to work long and irregular campaign hours

Preferred but Not Required:

- Previous campaign finance experience

- Familiarity with NGP, VAN, or other database programs

- Spanish language proficiency
