FInance Director for a Northeast Congressional Candidate

A MA Congressional Candidate is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to serve as the Finance Director for the campaign. The Finance Director will be responsible for all fundraising and financial aspects of the campaign. Potential tasks include preparing and managing call time and follow up, staffing the candidate at fundraising events, creating fundraisers and managing the fundraisers and funding expectations. The Finance Director reports directly to the Campaign Manager, is senior staff, and will be an integral part of crafting campaign strategy to bring the Congressperson elect’s message to the people of MA.

 

Skills and Qualifications

• 1-2 cycles of Finance Director experience or equivalent experience

• Multiple cycles of experience managing an ambitious call time program

• Self-starter that can work remotely with efficiency and professionalism

• Experience writing and sending fundraising emails

• Dedicated to progressive ideals and values

• Significant NGP experience

• Experience working directly with a candidate for political office

• Strong inter-personal and communication skills

• MA and primary elections experience a significant plus

Logistics 

The position is paid and full time. The Finance Director is expected to work a typical campaign schedule that can be long and inconsistent. The campaign is headquartered outside of Boston, MA and supporter housing can be arranged for a short time. Access to a laptop, a car and internet is required.
