Scheduler
We are seeking a Scheduler who is passionate about the candidate’s vision, works well in fast-paced environments, and can effectively communicate with our team and external stakeholders.
As part of our team, you will work closely with the candidate, campaign team, volunteers, stakeholders, and elected officials to manage the schedule, respond to appearance requests, and coordinate surrogate activity. In this role you will support the candidate and staff to ensure that all public engagements are handled in a timely manner and our travel logistics run smoothly.
Duties include but are not limited to:
● Interact and communicate with external stakeholders to field appearance requests
● Liaise with event hosts and campaign staff to coordinate event and trip specifics
● Communicate directly with staff to address problems quickly providing contexts and recommended solutions
● Organize, support, book, and record all travel logistics (flights, cars, hotels) for candidate, support staff, family, and surrogates
● Create logistic trackers and schedules for trips
● Update events and transportation trackers, organize internal trip documents

Field
Director
We are seeking a field director who is passionate about sharing the campaign’s vision, works well in fast-paced environments, and can effectively communicate with our team and external stakeholders.
The Field Director is responsible for making sure the campaign amplifies our message through direct voter contact. We encourage you to apply for this position if you are passionate about building a powerful staff team that can support volunteers to do the critical work of building grassroots power. The ideal candidate excels at team management, field strategy, and leadership development.
Duties include but are not limited to:
● Develop and execute a campaign field plan
● Hire and cultivate a field team to implement the field plan and increase voter outreach
● Meet and exceed benchmarks for voter contact, volunteer recruitment, grassroots engagement and GOTV
● Plan and run events in order to quickly scale up volunteer activity in the field program
● Plan and run volunteer training programs to quickly orient volunteers to the field strategy
● Build a field program that can recruit and activate volunteers and volunteer leaders to grow our voter contact program and mobilize voters
● Work collaboratively with team members and leadership to improve the organizing program and provide feedback and lessons-learned

Regional Field Directors oversee and execute field activities in their assigned region in Indiana. The position entails managing and training field organizers, ensuring field metrics are met, and investing in field organizers to efficiently and effectively perform their duties, meet expectations, and excel.
Duties include but are not limited to:
● Meet and exceed the set targets and goals for their region
● Manage, train, and develop the organizing and volunteer management skills of field organizers
● Support field organizers to train and develop volunteer leaders and volunteer teams

As part of our organizing team, you will assist in the planning and implementation of programs to build the grassroots organization necessary to persuade and mobilize voters. You will highlight the campaign’s message, elevate and amplify stories of everyday Hoosiers, and provide support to our teams across the state.
Duties include but are not limited to:
● Recruit, train, and manage teams of volunteers to meet voter contact and capacity-building goals
● Identify and develop volunteer leaders to organize house parties, constituency and issue-based events, canvasses, phone banks, voter registration drives, and other events designed to persuade voters and engage volunteers
● Build volunteer teams to fill critical leadership roles to get out the vote
● Use digital tools to engage new volunteers, expand the electorate, and highlight our work on the ground

The Communications Director is responsible for managing the organization’s communications team, as well as working with media and external stakeholders. This critical role will work to ensure there is both a proactive and reactive messaging strategy in place to advance the campaign’s mission.

● Conceptualize and implement an integrated strategic communications plan
● Align communications opportunities and organizational priorities to amplify candidate, senior leadership, and surrogates in national, state, and regional media

Deputy Political Director
We are seeking a deputy political director who is passionate about sharing the campaign’s vision, works well in fast-paced environments, and can effectively communicate with our team and external stakeholders.
The Deputy Political Director has a major hand in strategy and execution of planning and execution of our 2020 political and electoral program. The Deputy will work closely with the Political Director and will act as the organization’s candidate liaison to a high-level portfolio of community leaders, elected officials, campaigns, and other stakeholders, manage various projects at one time, and balance a short- and long-term strategic vision for the organization’s political work.
Duties include but are not limited to:
● Apply a strong working knowledge of Indiana political systems, the political process and key players to identify surrogates to advocate for the candidate
● Manage and build a constituency portfolio to ensure consistent communications with key stakeholders
● Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
● Collaborate and coordinate with campaign staff to ensure political objectives are considered in all decisions

The Deputy Policy Director will work closely with the Policy Director, Senior Advisor, and other members of our team achieve the campaign’s policy objectives.
Duties include but are not limited to:
● Work with the policy team to develop policy goals and materials
● Craft and deliver effective policy advocacy strategies in collaboration with external stakeholders
● Draft talking points for candidate’s speaking engagements and campaign material
● Manage research of existing policies and those in development across Indiana and nationally

We are seeking a Candidate’s Assistant/Body Person who is passionate about sharing the candidate’s vision, gets along well with others, works well in fast-paced environments, can process and retain information quickly, and can effectively communicate across departments.
The Body Person/Candidate’s Assistant is responsible for facilitating the Candidate’s schedule, getting the candidate to and from events, anticipating what needs to happen next, and reporting the day’s interactions to the rest of the team. You will have a critical role in facilitating communication across the campaign and in supporting the candidate.
Duties include but are not limited to:
● Organize and maintain detailed calendars, records of contacts, and travel itineraries for the Candidate
● Collect and organize contacts received on the campaign trail and provide to relevant staff member

Our campaign is seeking interns to help with data entry and analysis, fundraising, event planning, graphic design, social media, communications, voter outreach, and working with volunteers.
Prior campaign experience is not required for this position. This internship would be an excellent opportunity for those who are interested in pursuing a career in politics, campaigns, or looking for a once in a lifetime experience.
